Looking ahead to fall, the season of change, comes word of Bee, a new women's magazine in the works for an October introduction.
The new publication is the brainchild of the enterprising Celine Gumbiner , a 24-year-old native of Monaco who graduated from Southern Methodist University in Dallas and got the publishing bug.
"Bee goes beyond makeup and dating. Most readers will be educated career women living on their own, and while, yes, they want great shoes, they also want to be able to actively engage in conversations about world affairs and learn fiscal responsibility - all without having to interrupt their hectic schedules," says Erik Velez, the magazine's president and co-founder.
The very handsome cover of Bee's sample copy billboards a story headlined "Five Kelly Bags," about a purse named in honor of the late Princess of Monaco and Oscar-winning actress Grace Kelly. Priced at roughly $6,000, the bag is available at Hermes in Paris. Clearly aimed at your more affluent career women.
